What is HYROX?

A Hyrox race consists of eight 1 km runs, each followed right away by a functional workout

station, always in the same order. The stations are the SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee

broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. Because the format is fixed, you can train for it specifically.

Who it's for

First-time racers, returning athletes chasing a faster time, and partners training together for

FAQs

  • Is Grand Trunk CrossFit an official Hyrox gym?

No. We’re an independent gym and aren’t affiliated with Hyrox, but we offer Hyrox-compatible training for athletes preparing for races.

  • Can beginners do Hyrox-style training with you?

Yes. Every workout is scaled to your level, and our coaches help you build the running and station fitness you need.

  • How is Hyrox-style training different from CrossFit?

Hyrox is a running race with stations added in, which many newcomers don’t expect. Our coaches balance run training with strength and station work, which looks different from a typical CrossFit week.

  • Do you have the equipment for Hyrox-style training?

Yes we have all equipment needed for training; SkiErg, rowers, sleds, wall balls, sandbags, kettlebells, and AirRunners

  • How far ahead of my race should I start?

The sooner the better. At least 10-12 weeks out. Book a free intro and we’ll build a plan around your race date.

  • Do I need to be a member to train with you?

Yes. Or you can pay a drop-in fee of $20 per training session.
